A-GAIN Exterior Skim Filler

Amoriguard A-GAIN EXTERIOR FILLER is a grey powdered crack filler based on a blend of grey cement blended with recycled wastes and other mineral fillers. When dealing with new work contracts the smooth white filler often causes difficulties to fully obliterate, resulting in these areas requiring one or two additional coats usually ‘spot primed”. A-GAIN EXTERIOR CRACK FILLER is specifically formulated to closer match to the plaster surface, thereby reducing the need for spot prime. It contains 30% recycled materials and is suitable for both interior and exterior use.

Amoriguard A-GAIN EXTERIOR FILLER is carefully formulated using recycled materials from two different waste streams. These materials are used to replace the conventional mineral fillers that would normally be used.

Coverage/Spread Rate depends largely on the condition and porosity of the substrate being repaired and manner in which the product is applied.

Correct surface preparation is essential for good product performance and all surfaces should be prepared in the specified manner. Moisture content in the substrate should be as low as possible and we do not recommend painting if it is greater than 15%. Do not apply when ambient temperatures are less than 5°C or greater than 35°C. Add a small quantity of water to Amoriguard A-GAIN EXTERIOR SKIM/FILLER and mix well till a thick smooth paste is achieved. Use this for filling cracks and other imperfections. SKIM/FILLER can also be thinned marginally more and used as a surface skim to fill the grain and other small imperfections before sanding and painting. After sanding we do suggest priming with either A-GAIN WB Plaster Primer or A-GAIN Waterbased AR Primer before applying finishing coats. Allow to dry for a minimum of 12 hours before overcoating.
